Staffordshire County Show 2019

This show is truly a great day out for all the family. It’s a chance to sample some superb local produce, find some exquisite crafts and enjoy a whole host of family activities, displays and performances.

Following the great success of our stall at last year’s event, we will be back bigger and better in 2019!  As well as finding out about the many great free services for over 50’s we run in Staffordshire, we will also be completing NHS Health Checks at the event for all those eligible.

The NHS Health Check is FREE for 40-74 year olds and helps to prevent conditions such as stroke, heart disease, diabetes and kidney disease. We will work out your BMI, check your blood pressure and offer instant results on your cholesterol levels (via a finger prick blood test).  The test takes about 20 minutes from start to finish, so there will still be plenty of time to visit the many other attractions at the show.

Find us there on 29-30 May 2019, 9am – 6pm, Weston Rd, Stafford, ST18 0BD.

A new approach to weight management

When it comes to weight management, we all know that it’s a combination of good diet and exercise that holds the key to success. However, it’s safe to say that many of us struggle to stick to new regimes when starting out on weight loss journeys.

Health Checks
Check it out before it catches you out!

The NHS Health Check is a national scheme, open to eligible adults aged 40 – 74, and aims to help individuals to understand their risks of developing preventable health concerns such as heart disease, type two diabetes and kidney disease.
