Falls are increasingly common as we get older, sometimes leading to injuries that can cost people their independence. The good news is that many falls can be avoided with the right help.

Why get help to prevent falls

If you come along to our weekly falls prevention classes, our fully-trained instructors will give you the confidence to stay on your feet. They’ll work with you to improve your balance and lower body strength through workouts, including chair-based exercises. Not only will you leave the classes less likely to fall but you’ll also improve your physical and mental wellbeing and even meet new people.

How you can get help to prevent falls 

Working in groups of up to 10, you’ll learn how to increase your stability in everyday life. Working mainly on balance, exercises include placing one foot in front of another tight rope style and figure of 8 movements with your feet. You’ll be helped throughout, so there is no need to fear falling over whilst taking part.

Who can get help to prevent falls?

  • Anyone over 50 years old
  • Anyone who lives in particular parts of Staffordshire
  • Anyone who is registered with certain Staffordshire GP practices

Where you can get help to prevent falls 

Falls classes are held at easy to get to locations across Staffordshire, including Stafford Rangers’ ground, Rising Brook Methodist Church in Stafford and Salvation Army in Chesterton.

Following the great success of our stall at last year’s event, we will be back bigger and better in 2019!

My experience with Everyone Health has been a positive one. Our instructor Adam is very friendly and knowledgable, he makes sure we have everything that is required and changes things when required. I never feel intimated by my lack of dexterity as I have in the past. This is due to Adam being sensitive to my individual requirements. I feel the class has made a difference to my overall movement. I would recomment this to anyone who is in a similar medical condition to my own.
